Learning objectives for this week...


  • Math- Solving problems involving various units of measure.  We will also learn about measuring and drawing angles using a protractor.
  • Reading- Test taking strategies
  • Writing- Using information from multiple sources to respond to a prompt
  • Science-Role of consumers, producers and decomposers in a community/Food chains.  Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday. Ch. 7 unit test on Friday.


Our school is participating in the “Gimme 5 for Education” campaign to raise funds for the Cobb Schools Foundation! The Cobb Schools Foundation is the only non-profit organization that supports all our schools, staff and students in the Cobb County School District.  All funds collected will directly benefit our schools through Foundation supported scholarships, grants and programs for our schools, students and staff.

Reading: Study Non-Fiction Text Features anchor chart that is in Reading Journal. I went around today and put a sticky note on everyone's anchor chart so they would know what to study.  We took a quiz on this last week and unfortunately didn't do so well.  All students will retake this test on Wednesday.  Since this will be the second time they are seeing the same test, a retake will not be offered.

**STEM Night is today from 5-7 in the cafe.

**All Pro Dads is tomorrow morning.

**Students can bring a book character costume to change into tomorrow. Please make sure the costume is school appropriate.  Also, students may not wear a mask.
